Meet the Team

Sarah manages career coaching and education at the CCA and also leads the Creative Arts, Media & Communications career community, a role that she truly enjoys. With a particular interest in working with college students, Sarah helps guide them through important decisions about their academic interests, values, experiences, and professional lives.

Sarah began her work at the CCA in 1999, after previous roles in student counseling, residence life, and student activities at universities in Minnesota, Indiana, and Western Pennsylvania. She is married to Loren Gustafson, who works in the Writing Center, and together they have two grown children who attended liberal arts colleges in Nova Scotia and San Diego. As an undergraduate, Sarah majored in both theatre and business, a combination that continues to influence her approach to her work and volunteer activities in local theater.

Sarah’s experience has given her a deep understanding of the intersection between students’ creative interests and their professional ambitions, especially within the arts, media, and communications fields. She finds great fulfillment in supporting students and alumni as they navigate the balance between pursuing their goals and shaping their careers.

Emily Dietrich brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education, career services, workforce development, and recruiting, with a proven record of leadership. She currently serves as Co-Interim Executive Director of the Center for Career Advancement at Bucknell University, where she provides collaborative oversight and shared accountability for advancing the Center’s mission to prepare students for meaningful post-graduate outcomes. In this role, she directs career education initiatives and advising services, strengthens partnerships across campus and with alumni, parents, and employers, ensures students have access to the tools and experiences necessary for effective career planning, and mentors team members while fostering collaboration across the University Advancement division.

In addition, Emily co-leads the STEM Career Community, connecting students with alumni, employers, and campus partners to expand opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math fields. She is also a frequent presenter and career coach, engaging with the College of Engineering, STEM-related student organizations, and campus-wide audiences.

Before joining Bucknell, Emily advanced workforce development initiatives as Employment & Training Manager at Shop Vac USA. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Westminster College and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, with a concentration in Strategic Leadership, from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Molly is a Career Coach and the Pre-Law Advisor in the Center for Career Advancement at Bucknell University. She leads the Law Career Community on campus, provides and currently teaches the Exploring Pre-Law (UNIV 135) and Pursuing Pre-Law (UNIV 136) classes. In
addition, Molly offers workshops and seminars focused on important pre-law topics, such as understanding the law school admission process and paying for law school.

Molly currently serves as a Northeast Association of Pre-Law Advisors’ Board Member. She is also the advisor for the Pre-Law Society and a  co-advisor for Bucknell’s Mock Trial team. Molly is a licensed attorney in Florida and Pennsylvania, with a JD from the University of  Richmond and a BA from Florida State University. Prior to Bucknell, she worked with individual and corporate clients in both large and small firms, practicing civil litigation, mortgage foreclosure law, estate planning, real estate law, family law, and served as general counsel. Molly lives in Lewisburg with her husband, two daughters and two pups.

Bernadett “Bee” Harris joined the CCA team on August 7, 2023, and serves as one of our dedicated coordinators. In her role, Bee manages interview room bookings, supports employer relations by coordinating job fairs, and assists with planning and logistics for on-and -off campus events. She is also one of the primary points of contact for appointments, classes, and event coordination within the CCA.

Looking for Bee? You can find her in the Resource Room (Room 101) in the Botany Building, where she warmly welcomes staff, students, parents, and visitors to the CCA office. Known for her friendly and helpful nature, Bee ensures everyone feels supported and informed.

Outside of work, Bee enjoys spending quality time with her 11-year-old son, Royale. She is actively involved in community service, attends different churches, and loves networking and connecting with others in the community.

Kristin serves as the Senior Career Advisor for Finance, coaching, preparing and advising students regarding effective strategies to pursue opportunities and careers in the investment banking, financial services, and real estate industries.  Kristin also works with employers, alumni, and parents to establish and build relationships in these industries. 

Kristin has extensive experience in the finance industry.  She spent 15 years in sales and trading, lead campus recruiting and programs at UBS, and was Head of Professional Development at BMO Capital Markets, and was a program manager at Jane Street Capital.

Additionally, Kristin spent 5 years as Deputy Director in the Career Development Office at the Yale School of Management, where she coached and mentored students pursuing careers in finance services, built and maintained relationships with alumni and employers in finance, and worked closely with the student finance, PE, and investment management clubs.

Kristin graduated from Lehigh University and has her MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Arts & Science Honors Program at the University of North Carolina and a member of the Go Anywhere and Be Here committees.

Pam currently serves as Executive Director of the Center for Career Advancement at Bucknell University. She has more than 30 years of experience in Higher Education working primarily with undergraduate career counseling, experiential learning, and employer development/recruiting programs.

Pam’s background includes significant experience in working with undergraduates on identifying career interests, choice of major, networking, internship and job searches, graduate school pursuits and senior transition issues.  Additional skills include facilitating educational workshops and small group seminars, program management and oversight for large scale career fairs and industry networking events on and off campus, an understanding of the impact of social media strategies within communication plans and job/internship searches, faculty outreach, and the ongoing development and expansion of employer relations and recruiting activities within a comprehensive university career center. Pam works closely with university alumni and parent board members, and is involved in alumni relations and development/campaign initiatives.

Within Higher Education associations, Pam is currently active in NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers), EACE (Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers), the Career Leadership Collective and CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education).  In the past she has been actively involved in ACPA (American College Personnel Association) and PCPA (PA College Personnel Association) activities.  She has presented conference programs at regional and national conferences of CASE, ACPA and PCPA.  Pam served on the ACPA executive board for 2 years (1996-1998) and was involved in numerous leadership roles in PCPA, including serving as President (1994-1995) and Annual Conference Chair in 1992.  In 1993, Pam received the PCPA Award for Outstanding Contribution to PCPA.  Prior to her time at Bucknell, she worked at Susquehanna University in career development and Shippensburg University within Student Affairs/Residence Life. Pam received her M.S. in counseling from Shippensburg University and her B.A. in Psychology from Susquehanna University.

Michaele is the Coordinator for Career Readiness and Education at the CCA.  You will find her in the main welcome area of the Botany Building where she happily greets all visitors. She works with students who are new to the Career Center as well as those who have been coming in for 4 years. Michaele assists them in navigating Handshake so they can make appointments with the staff to reach their career goals.  In addition, she works closely with the Career Coaches to set up and organize the many events the CCA has to offer.

Michaele began working at the Career Center in April of 2024.  She has loved getting to know the outstanding staff and amazing interns that are excited to assist any student with all career related questions.  Outside of work, Michaele is the wife to Brian and a mom to two adult children (Amanda and Sean).  She enjoys traveling (and loves the planning of travel!).  She also enjoys taking loads of pictures and making lots of photo books of her memories.  You will find her volunteering in the Children’s Department at her church as well as taking classes at the Miller Center.

Christa serves as a Career Coach, where she empowers undergraduate students to explore meaningful careers and navigate the career development process. She co-leads the Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) Career Community, creating programs and resources to support students pursuing careers in STEM. Christa serves as the liaison to the Athletics Department, developing career programs for Bucknell’s student-athletes. A former Bucknell women’s soccer player and collegiate coach, Christa credits athletics for shaping her values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. With a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Bucknell University, Master of Science in Biological Sciences from PennWest University and experience in diverse roles—from benchtop biological research and medical device product development to collegiate coaching and teaching—she brings a creative, research-driven approach to solving problems and helping others achieve their goals. Passionate about servant leadership, Christa thrives in collaborative environments and is committed to empowering individuals to reach their full potential. She resides in Lewisburg with her husband, John, and children, JT and Tobias.

Patti Meyers is a career coach, supporting the Business and Consulting Career Community within the Center for Career Advancement (CCA) at Bucknell University. Prior to joining the CCA in February 2022, Patti served as a management consultant in Washington, DC. Over the course of eight years as a consultant, Patti helped clients in a variety of government and non-profit agencies, providing program and project management, facilitation, and requirements elaboration support. Internally, Patti also led professional development initiatives, which fueled her passion for helping students and young professionals create and navigate their own career journeys. Patti has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University-Indianapolis, and an Executive Certification in Organizational Consulting and Change Leadership from Georgetown University. She lives in Lewisburg, PA with her husband, two children, and dog.

Alison joined the CCA in 2007 and has been fortunate to have worked in a number of roles in the office and enjoys working with students, alumni, parents and employers. In her current role as Director, Employer Relations & Engagement, Alison is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with potential employers (often alumni/parents); facilitating recruitment opportunities; and actively engaging them to attract top talent from the institution, often through events, networking and outreach initiatives.

Alison is the Pre-Health Professions advisor at Bucknell.  She earned her B.S in Biology from Juniata College and her Ph.D. in Biomedical Science (focusing on Physiology) from Marshall University. Her post-doctoral training was at Geisinger Medical Center.  She started at Bucknell in 2003 teaching Human Anatomy as well as Human Physiology.  In 2007, she began her role as Pre-Health Advisor.  She gave up teaching in the Biology department in 2018 when her son matriculated at Bucknell as a Biomedical Engineer but continues in the Prehealth Advising role. She continues to teach, instructing two classes related to Prehealth.  When she isn’t teaching and advising students, she is home spending time with her husband, James Patterson, M.D. her son Zane Patterson(until he starts medical school in the summer of 2025), three dogs (Stella, Tara and Sadie) and some chickens (that she has learned to not name anymore!).

Jodie joined the CCA in September 2012 bringing 20+ years of experience in higher education. As Manager for Recruiting Engagement & Systems, she is responsible for overseeing the employer and student recruitment process, ensuring smooth candidate engagement throughout the hiring process by managing and optimizing the technology systems of online recruiting platforms used to attract and evaluate potential candidates. In addition, she collaborates in the planning and execution of both on-campus and off-campus career fairs and events. As a member of the CCA team, she finds it very rewarding to be involved with such a diversely skilled team facilitating robust career programming for students, employers and alumni.

Marilyn is a career coach and manages the Government & Public Interest Career Community.  The social sciences and working on behalf of the common good are among her top interests, and she manages the Bucknell Public Interest Program, as well.  She especially enjoys counseling students in career exploration and career decision making.

Marilyn has a Masters from Bucknell in School Psychology, School Counseling and College Student Personnel, and wrote her thesis on mindset and career decision making in college students.  She has a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, where she focused on international relations and East Asian studies. She also has a Masters in Oriental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.  Before Bucknell, Marilyn lived in the Bay Area doing market research for a medical devices company, and she started her career at Princeton developing classical and modern Chinese language teaching materials; she has lived as a student in Taiwan, Japan, and China, and as an expat in Tokyo.

Linsey is the Senior Operations Specialist at the Center for Career Advancement (CCA), where she manages daily office operations, supervises coordinators and interns, and oversees the data collection and production of the Post Graduate Report. She enjoys seeing the exciting paths that Bucknell graduates take. Linsey graduated from Shippensburg University with a double major in Marketing and Management and a minor in Art. She has been at Bucknell since 2006, with 17 years spent in the CCA. Outside of work, Linsey and her husband, Chris, are busy with their five children, ranging from a college sophomore to age 4. In her free time, she enjoys attending various kids’ sporting, music, and theater events. Every day is an adventure!

Megan is part of the Marketing Strategy and Outreach (MSO) team in University Advancement, where she collaborates with the career center to create strategic outreach and communications. With nearly two decades of experience, she focuses on making career resources feel relevant and accessible to students while also engaging alumni, parents and employers.

She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communications from Fordham University.

A former D-I athlete, Megan stays active by running, cycling and hitting the gym for workout classes. She also loves cooking, reading and traveling—always looking for her next great meal, book or adventure.
