This year, you’ll see a few updates to the Handshake appointment process — making it easier and more flexible to get the support you need.
What’s New
- Google Calendar: We’ll no longer automatically add appointments to your Google Calendar. You can add them yourself using the link in your confirmation email.
- Career Community Leaders: Appointments for industry-focused coaching are now open to all students — not just community members.
- New Appointment Types:
- Getting Started and Exploring Majors & Careers appointments are perfect if you’re not looking for industry-specific guidance.
- Office Hours with Career Community Leaders (offered in some communities) are a quick way to get questions answered. Check appointment descriptions for times.
Reminders
- Please cancel ahead if you can’t make it. Same-day cancellations and no-shows prevent other students from booking.
- Need help canceling or rescheduling? Contact the CCA at career@bucknell.edu or 570-577-1238.
- Trained career education interns also offer appointments throughout the day and evening—including a daily drop-in hour at the CCA.
