Tips & Advice for Breaking In
- Internships and entry-level roles on the agency side are the best way to get your foot in the door.
- Connections are key: leverage the Bucknell alumni network, cold email potential contacts, and always follow-up to build relationships.
- It’s ok not to have a job lined up when you graduate! Taking an internship instead may be just as useful.
- Consumer preferences are always changing so keep an open mind and be curious.
- Bring a unique perspective. Always consider how you can stay ahead of the curve.
- Create a portfolio, get it reviewed as much as you can, and continue revising.
